The Daily Turnpike

Choices are all around us.
How can we tell the good ones from the bad?
Sometimes, our vision can be clouded.
Trying so hard to be fearless and bold.
Risk after risk,
Who cares about the consequences?
When we are all inevitably sitting here waiting to get old.
Depressing,
Not at all.
It's just realism.
It's the way it is,
Dreaming, is the way we wish things would be.
Do you dream about the ones you love the most?
Then, why is it sometimes the ones we dream about are not the ones we're surrounded by?
Is there a lesson in this?
Cocooned in solitude.
Weighed down by the lives we've assumed.
Tasks we must enter wtihout discourse.
Faces we look into.
Lessons we can't seem to avoid.
Souls we try to understand.
Mistaken identities on the daily turnpike.
It seems as though it's always about the money with some people, doesn't it?
And, again...
We're back to the start of it all.
And, why do we do this?
How can we get hurt here?
I don't understand that?
We breathe, we are cells, molded into human form.
We live.
And, one day we will be a faded fantasy of someone who once was.
What is the point of it all?
To live each day to the fullest.
Don't regret anything.
Love what you do.
Have solid certainty in each new moment that presents itself.
We all wander freely.
Don't let anyone destroy your individual beauty.
Don't let anyone ever degrade you, or make you think you are less than equal.
You were made for a purpose so, find out what your purpose is.
Do it now.
If you have to endure things which seem incomprehensible,
this just teaches you that you are smart and, that you need a challenge.
And, we all have to endure something no matter how small it is.
And, the way you handle it, is what you will be remembered for.
That is the ultimate..
Being remembered long after you're gone.
