When I look at the Mona Lisa..
I feel like I am taken to a different era.
An era, that I would like to have been a part of.
I, am of course referring to the Renaissance period.
I have always wondered what she was thinking while
this magnificent painting was in the midst of creation.
What was she thinking ..?
She wants us to go away with that heightened sense of mystery.
Is she happy?
Is she sad?
Is she indifferent?
She doesn't like to give much away.
Why is it that even after viewing this painting for the millionth time...
It is as though we are viewing with new eyes again and again.
This, is the magic behind DaVinci's painting.
He captivates his viewing audience.
If you could paint a picture like this, that would be awed over for centuries..
Wouldn't you kneel down and Thank God you put brush to canvas THAT day!
